What's this I see?

I always find January and February rather depressing. The weather is cold and awful (ok, atleast in our neck of the woods). I am reminded frequently that I shouldn't complain this year ... we haven't been hit with any monumental snowfall amounts. To me, that doesn't matter. The thermometer hasn't hit 50 degrees in quite a while, and I'm feeling rather pale and white.

Once in a while, I look out on the back porch to see my several pairs of flip flops laying there alone and quiet. Just waiting, waiting, waiting for that warm spring day. The groundhog said we have 6 weeks left. I refuse to believe him.

I am hopeful for an early and unusually warm spring this year, because let's face it, I'm getting tired of pulling my child around in a clothesbasket in the house (of course, Carley is thrilled with it) ... pretending we're outside in the wagon with the warm sun on our faces. I have high hopes for a good sun tan this summer (me, of course, not Carley).

Today was a teaser. I looked outside this afternoon and saw the sun. I snapped a picture just for the heck of it, because tomorrow is supposed to be 16 degrees and snow.
