Her Promise
Carley's 3rd birthday is rapidly approaching. And she's made two promises. Giving up the beloved binky (a/k/a "fa fa") and trying to wear hair clips. Quite the commitment for a 3-year-old, egh?
But I don't think she's too happy about this. Because she really enjoys her "fa fa" at nap time and bed time. But she is going to try to give it up like someone who's been a life-long smoker. The binky: it's addicting ... and relaxing ... and soothing.
But she's gonna give it her best.
It's gonna be tough, because she's enjoyed her "fa fa" tremendously since about 3 hours after birth (thanks to her Mom who was going to prove the hospital nurses wrong). And the hair clips? Well, that promise may pale in comparison to the absent binky.

I've been trying for months to get Sophie to wear clips in her hair but she won't have anything to do with them. Drives me crazy.
Try telling her that you are sending them to children who don't have these items. My sister was hard to break, we even had her put them in an envelope and put them in the mailbox....it worked like a charm. She never asked for them again!
